So after our exciting adventure to see Robbie in London, I kindly said I would open on the Saturday morning, despite only having had 3 hours sleep (you were totally worth it though Robbie – just in case you read this – oh and if you are reading this I love you sooo much!! Just thought I better let you know!).
So Mum arrived a little after lunch looking very pleased with herself, ‘I’ve been shopping’ she said. The next thing you know she was pulling arms and legs out of the car boot. By this point in the day I was so tired I left her to it, she was so excited about her purchase I thought it best not to ask where we were going to fit this new addition (secretly thinking she had actually lost the plot!).
Fast forward to Tuesday, I head to work as normal, Tea Time Tuesday is clearly the highlight of my week so I was skipping along the road (imagine a scene from a musical!) into the shop I go, turn around and BAM – met Betty and screamed! I have never been so scared in all my life.
Here she is –
Betty dressed for Crazy Golf in town on Saturday.
I am fairly certain that after our first encounter Betty is not my friend…….generally when meeting people for the first time you don’t stand and scream in their face, so it is safe to say Betty and I didn’t get off to the best of starts. Mum and Betty get on very well, as do our Tuesday Teatime customers – check out our Facebook group for the Selfies they have all taken with Betty this week – I loved being tagged in Betty photos over and over again (honestly I did?!).
So it seems I am outnumbered in my thought that Betty is a physco mannequin who actually tried to kill me (seriously I was so close to a heart attack!). So Betty is staying and seems to be causing a bit of a stir.
So I thought I might let her have her own Betty Blog, so she can keep all her fans updated on what she is getting up too. So keep your eyes peeled for Betty posts coming very soon!
In the mean time, Betty has been clutching onto a ball of Hippynoodle all week (think she is a secret shoplifter actually, I am going to have to keep an eye on her!) I think she likes it – why not take a look at our newest range, hand dyed yarn produced locally! We are an exclusive stockist of this range and so far it has been very popular. Take a look here.
I think those eyes say it all – she actually hates me – you can see it, it’s all in the eyes!
